Hello Kobiljon F. and Francisco S.! Thank you for the great question and answer! Let me reflect on this from my point of view below.
This is one of my favorite topics, and I'll spoil the answer in the beginning by revealing that it is the skilled colleagues and the company spirit! First of all, an important thing to note is that I joined Nokia in the early days of the Covid pandemic when remote working practices were not as common and smooth as they are nowadays. I was a bit cautious about what to expect when starting in a new company without practically meeting in person the closest people I would work with. I also came from a company that had a very small R&D office in my city, and basically, everybody knew each other. I really liked that, but now that was obviously going to change since I would jump to a much bigger company.
However, it turned out that from the very first day, I was recognized as an integral part of the team and my onboarding was a very nice experience. I was for example assigned a buddy from whom I could ask questions with a very low threshold and in the end, I had quite frequent talks with him. I also think that it was a priority for Nokia to ensure that everybody who copes with the difficult situation, including isolation, and that the sharing of ideas would continue even though people wouldn't anymore share the same workspace on a daily basis. To summarize, the employee was put at the center and the feeling of togetherness was cherished.
When it comes to inspiration, I am grateful to work with amazing colleagues and constantly learn from them. It is easy to find a colleague that is experienced in an area that I would like to embrace, and for any problem that I'm not able to solve on my own, there is someone else who would be willing to help me out and teach me along the way. Very intriguing things are built at Nokia and being able to be part of that is a great source of inspiration as well!

Hi Kobiljon, thanks for the question! I came to share my perspective on this subject but seems like I will be only echoing Francisco and Mikko. So I will be very short with my answer. What inspired me the most (and still does after several years in the company) is the people and the company spirit. Those cannot be explained in details, so if you have possibility to join Nokia, you will experience them in practice.

I have been with Nokia for a number of years now but the surprises keep coming! Good surprises. Market changes, drive companies to respond to those changes. Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models. The innovations keep coming at a rapid speed. Nokia continues to embrace these innovations and incorporate them into daily life. The collective response to a changing world is inspirational and a bit of a surprise and perhaps not something you would expect from a very large organization.

Thank you for your great question, Kobiljon! My colleagues have already provided some excellent answers, but I'd like to share a particular "first impression" that really surprised and inspired me when I joined Nokia.
One of the main reasons I chose Nokia was the opportunity to work for a large international company. I was eager to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. This interest stemmed from my university days when I spent a semester in Stockholm through the Erasmus program. I loved how people from all over Europe (and the world) could share experiences and have meaningful discussions using English as a common language, despite our different native tongues.
When I joined Nokia, my expectations were not just met – they were far exceeded. First, I was amazed by the multicultural environment even within the Hungarian office. While I don't recall the exact statistics, most teams here have multiple international members. This is quite unique; I've heard from colleagues that in some companies, being the "only foreigner" can make you feel like you're forcing others to speak English. At Nokia, however, it's common to see lunch tables with several non-Hungarian natives, making English conversations completely natural.
What surprised me even more was how quickly I was integrated into the global Nokia community. In my very first weeks, I was already participating in meetings with American colleagues. There are no "silos" separating different sites – everyone works together seamlessly to drive development forward. This global collaboration has become a constant in my daily work life. There isn't a day that goes by without me having at least one meeting in English, which I really appreciate as it allows me to continually practice and improve my language skills.
This truly international work environment has been incredibly inspiring. It not only met my initial expectations but has become one of the aspects I value most about working at Nokia. The diversity of perspectives and the global scale of our collaboration continue to motivate and excite me every day.
