Mostly an excellent opportunity to grow as you come across something new with every project. It can be challenging, but with the right team, you can always seek support. Organization and time management skills are a must here, also, if you have several projects on your hand, it is critical that you can switch your focus between them easily. These skills can be learned and perfected along the way, but if you are interested in this path, you can also prepare yourself for these with readings, training, and podcasts.

Being a project manager is talking with a lot of people, making plans, and knowing things won't always go as planned. So I would say the most important thing is learning to identify risks and what to do when they become a reality. For me, having good communication skills is essential. We want to make people help us.
It's definitely not a boring role; there is always something happening. It also gives you opportunities to start understanding topics you may not have. For example, my background is in Psychology, but because I was a delivery manager for a technical area, I now have a better understanding of what Telecommunications is and how it works (especially when it comes to the products of the business group I work for).
