My career path has been anything but linear, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I began as a Marketing Trainee, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding business needs, customer behavior, and communication - skills that proved invaluable when I transitioned into a Project Manager role, where I honed my ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complexity, and deliver results. However, driven by a growing passion for data and its power to inform decisions, I made a deliberate and risky choice to pursue a Post-Graduate Degree in Data Science and Business Analytics, which ultimately opened the door to my current role as a Data Scientist. Each step, even the ones that seemed like detours, built on the last, and today, that diverse background is precisely what allows me to bring a uniquely holistic perspective to the work I do.

I'm a Data Scientist, but my work goes well beyond modeling. Day to day, I touch everything from Data Engineering and Process Mining to Automation and AI — essentially, I help turn raw data into decisions and manual work into smart, automated solutions.

What I enjoy most is the variety of projects — I work across different areas of the business, which means I'm constantly exposed to new challenges and collaborating with different stakeholders. That keeps things interesting and gives me a broader perspective of the company. I also really value the learning opportunities, the flexibility to work remotely, and knowing that if I ever want to explore something new, there's the option to rotate or pick up Gigs in other areas.

Dare to do the hard thing. Be curious, embrace change, and don't be afraid to start over, because as someone who transitioned from Project Manager to Data Scientist, I can tell you that your skills are never wasted, the journey will be challenging, but you'll never truly know if something is right for you until you try it, and when you don't know how, stay humble and simply ask, because you don't need to have all the answers before you begin — some of the most valuable lessons come from learning by doing.

My greatest achievement has been changing careers at a point when, by all external measures, I was already successful - but internally, I knew I wasn't fulfilled. Transitioning from Project Manager to Data Scientist was far from easy; it demanded resilience, constant adaptation, and the humility to start over in many ways. However, it was absolutely worth it. Today, I feel a more tangible and meaningful impact in my work, and I've developed the rare ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences, communicating effectively across all levels of seniority - something that only became possible because I have genuinely lived on both sides.
