Hi Madhav, great to connect with you and a great question!
Each role has its own requirements, so expectations can vary. What’s most important, however, is being able to clearly communicate how you achieved an outcome, not just the final result. Interviewers are interested in your thinking process: how you approached a problem, the actions and thought process you took, and the impact you made.
Well structured answers using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) are very effective in helping you do this. It’s also important to communicate in a professional, structured, and concise manner, rather than using an overly casual tone. One common mistake I see is candidates feeling pressured to rush into an answer they’re unsure about. But, interviewers actually appreciate it when you ask for a moment to think and then articulate a thoughtful, considered response. Regular practice with behavioural‑based interview questions (there are many good examples online) will definitely help build confidence!
I hope this helps, and I am always here if you have any questions!
