Hi Ozan – thank you for the question. Learning is among the most important priorities in Nokia. Nokia possesses a variety of workplace learning and development resources and opportunities, both formal and informal, available for employees. Nokia has intern training programs and the executive level learning for select audiences. Groups and teams within Nokia have documented instructions, processes, and guidelines in place to support and direct our workplace performance. Employees supervisors provide relevant and frequent communications and feedback to their team members to help assure that performance expectations are aligned, that opportunity exists for questions to be answered, and that individuals needs are being met. Most supervisors meet with their teams weekly or more often, and many meet 1:1 with individuals on their teams weekly or bi-weekly. I (and most others on our team) communicate with our supervisor on a daily basis – that practice of open communications helps keep our team informed and performing at its peak. We also learn from each other within Nokia. Nokia, through its Employee Learning Store, provides every employee with access to all of its learning and development resources – thousands of technical training courses, professional development courses titles, and to online courses and titles from companies such as Skillsoft Books and other subscriptions. There are also occasions where a Business Group may purchase outside learning from a subject-matter-expert or consultant specifically for their targeted audience. Webinars on various business-related and personal development topics are provided daily by groups within Nokia. Each year, NokiaEDU proudly presents its unique “Global Day of Learning” where the highest-ranking leaders from across the company participate casual settings to speak candidly about their observations, experiences and the importance of continuous learning as together we prepare individually and collectively for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. There are numerous additional learning opportunities with Nokia to address individual’s learning and performance needs, interests, and motives, but I think that enough are shared thus far to validate the importance of learning and development within Nokia.
