Hi Ethan, Glad you asked this question. Our key goals for the interns in our team at Nokia are to ensure that the progress is two-way: one is that interns contribute to the projects or work as required, and second the hands-on learning and upskilling of interns. Since each student or intern has a different experience and skill set, the first two weeks would set the pace of work. Depending on skill level and pace, we may start with a small debugging task, and then pace it up to more intensive tasks.
Along with technical skills like coding, debugging, or testing, we also aim to provide opportunities to develop presentation skills where interns would have to present or demo a project to key stakeholders. And our interns love that part!
We also aim that interns become aware of Nokia as an organization, its different business groups, products and solutions. We hope that experience during an internship helps students envision their future in Nokia that aligns with their interests and skills.
Overall, we aim to ensure that the internship provides an experience to help build the foundation of their career.
