Hi Rana, do you have any suggestions for those female job candidates without strong technical education background but have relevant experiences and capability for tech governance and regulations & PM?

    Hi there Jocelyn,

It is indeed great to connect, and thank you for your question.

A technical degree can be helpful, but it is by no means the only path into technology-focused careers. Many successful professionals in governance, regulatory, risk, compliance, and project management roles have built their careers through experience, continuous learning, and the ability to connect business and technology.

I would encourage candidates to focus on the value they bring: their experience leading projects, influencing stakeholders, navigating complex regulations, driving change, solving business challenges, and working effectively with technical teams. These skills are highly sought after and can be just as important as a technical academic background.

My advice would be not to self-select out of opportunities simply because your degree is in a different field. If you have relevant experience, transferable skills, a strong track record of impact, and a genuine interest in technology, that should present a strong story.

A non-technical educational background shouldn't discourage you from exploring these opportunities. Relevant experience, sound judgment, and strong execution skills can be just as valuable.

I hope that helps and always here to provide further insight.

    Best wishes,

    Rana
