Hello there! Thank you for your message. Although grades are important, that´s not the only thing we look for in a candidate! We value your energy, your interests, your motivations, your achievements, and your skills too. Hope this solves your question.

Hi, Anon,
Nokia supports diversity in different areas.
When we hire new people, the line manager will consider whether this candidate could bring diversity to the team. For career development, the company provides different opportunities to develop ourselves, internal positions are shared in our internal job market, everyone can apply for an internal position, job rotation and job internal transfer are supported by direct managers.
Nokia also promotes gender diversity, supports women to get equal job opportunities as men. There are several Nokia global level activities/projects to support women's development, for example, celebrate International Women Day, ICT girls day, a leadership program for women leader development, invite senior leaders to have coffee talk with female employees about career development, etc.

Hi Madhanan,
For me the most important is the attitude, the soft skills and the motivation to learn and grow if the person does not match with all the technical requirements is not something to be worried about because these are skills that can be learned and practice but the attitude is something really important.

Hi Madhanan,
Rightly said by Daniela, I would look for learning ability skills. If one is motivated to learn the required technical skills then we are eager to continue the selection process with the candidate.

Hi Yalamanchili, it really depends! Every position, business group, hiring manager in all of the different regions have their own point of view and skill set requirements. However, if you were to ask me in general terms of what Nokia looks for, we typically look for those who show potential, have the ability to learn, adapt, and grow. Other skills we like to see are those who bring their authentic selves, have good communication skills, can work in a team environment, and perhaps have future leadership skills. I really like to see interns who show they are engaged in extracurriculars activities that help build their own careers i.e. Hackathon participations, student-led associations, etc.

Hi Linda. Thankyou so much for the valuable information. It’s really good to here that Nokia not only looks for the Technical skill set also all round development. I would be really happy if I would come along in Nokia as an intern. Specifically I have all the kind of skill set that is required.
