Hi Rahul,
let me give you a quick run down of what a normal workday for me in our Stuttgart office in Germany is like. When I get in in the morning, I usually spend my time between the usual daily doing like preparing documents such as technical presentations or material for customer meetings and doing some studying for certifications or other topics. Learning is quite a big part of Junior Engineer's Daily work!
After lunch with colleagues, I get back to regular work stuff. We often have call with international colleagues since Nokia is an international company with stakeholders all over the world. Finding an appointment that works for across multiple time zones can be quite a challenge 😄.
And after work we usually host our After-work events in Stuttgart which can be anything from a get-together in the office, going to the Christmas market to enjoying the Wasen (Stuttgart's Version of the Oktoberfest).
I hope this gives you a little insight into my typical work day at Nokia.
Cheers
Emre

Hi Rahul,
Work life at Nokia, particularly for a software development engineer, presents an engaging blend of continuous learning, stimulating work, and valuable social interaction.
- Continuous Learning: The telecommunications industry is rapidly evolving, necessitating constant self-improvement and skill development. Fortunately, Nokia actively supports its employees' continuous learning through various initiatives, including internal and external training programs, and opportunities to attend professional conferences.
- Engaging Work: While the majority of tasks are interesting and challenging, there are naturally some routine or administrative duties. Overall, the work provides ample opportunities for innovation and problem-solving.
- Valued Social Life: The recent lockdown period underscored the importance of in-person interaction. Connecting with colleagues, both in the office and during team events, is highly valued and contributes significantly to a positive work environment.
Best regards!
