Sarvenaz K. asked a question to Dharmendra S.
Hello,
thank you for reaching out.
I will need more details on your telecom industry experience to know you better. Also, on your PhD, what exactly within next-generation wireless networks are you pursing?
In general, as we approach 6G in the coming times, we are looking at Autonomous networks and AI playing a significant role. The next generation of mobile networks will be shaped by two forces that must advance together: the move toward AI-native networks and the global standardization of 6G. 6G will be the first mobile generation designed natively for an AI-driven world. AI will increasingly support how networks sense, optimize, automate and adapt across devices, radio access, core network functions, orchestration and services. As an example, AI RAN will be a strong growth area. Agentic AI will play a big role in sensing, acting and solving any network issues. Human involvement will be quite limited. So, please keep these topics in mind as you pursue your PhD. All the best.
