Talent Acquisition Manager - Americas Region
Hello Charlie!
If you already have a scheduled interview with us, I highly suggest you go through our webpage, follow us on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Glassdoor) and understand what Nokia does today. We have an amazing portfolio and you should know about it. Also, read about our culture and priorities for the year.
We want to hear your thoughts and questions, so bring a couple of them to the interview. Understand the role and requirements, and don´t hesitate to ask for more information during your conversation with the hiring manager.
If you have a virtual interview, ask the recruiter for instructions on how to use our tools, so you don't lose valuable time on that day.
I wish you great success!

Hello Akintibubo,
The most important thing to do is to know about the company and the position you're applying for; be confident about your skills and your knowledge, be on time, be well dressed and carry all the documents required.
My best wishes!!

Dear Akintibubo,
Rightly said by Daniela. Another important aspect is your ability to explain the skills and experience you mentioned on your resume. Think about concrete examples and projects you have worked on.

Hello Vaibhav,
In all the interviews is important to be prepared with some basic points:
1. Have knowledge about the company and the industry, for example the core business, the competitors and the industry trends
2. Be ready for any technical question, talk about your experience, the projects that you developed or participated in.
3. Be confident about yourself and your skills. Show your willingness to share your experience and to learn new things.
I wish you success!!

Hi Siva P.
Thank you for asking this question. I can offer a few time-tested interviewing tips that you might find helpful. Always be on time, a few minutes early, for your interview. If in-person or via video connection, wear business-appropriate attire for the interview. Interviewing is stressful, so it is important to stay calm, confident, attentive, and enthusiastic throughout the interview. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer, and it’s OK to take a few moments to think before answering the interviewer’s questions. Prepare for the interview. Preparation includes not only being able to describe, discuss, and respond to questions about the job-related skills and qualifications reflected in your resume, but also involves researching the company. Such research will help you understand exactly what knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors the company is seeking and helps to prepare you to discuss how your own knowledge, skills, attitudes, behaviors, and experiences match the company’s job requirements.
In summary, effective interviewing strategies include projecting self-confidence, staying positive, and concisely communicating and sharing examples of the knowledge, skills, attitudes, behaviors, and other qualifications that make you the best candidate for the job. Lastly, don’t forget to follow-up shortly after the interview with a thank-you note to reemphasize your interest in the position. The follow-up note will also provide an opportunity to convey any relevant information you may have omitted during the interview.

My top tips for doing well in an interview is to first do your research about the company, and know what they specialize in and what differentiates them from other companies/competitors. Then, be prepared to look the part that you're trying to achieve (yes, put on a shirt and jacket, or a pants suit), hold your head up high, and be confident in the "package" you are bringing to the table. You have worked hard, and now, you are looking to find the best fit and be compensated for your hard work and skill set. Sell yourself during your interview, and demonstrate how you can be an asset to that company! Enjoy.

Hi - Thank you for asking this important question. I can offer a few time-tested interviewing tips that you might find helpful. Always login or appear on time, preferably a few minutes early, for your interview. Whether you are interviewing in person or if interviewing via video connection, be sure to wear business-appropriate attire for the interview. Interviewing is a stressful activity, so it is important to focus on staying confident, attentive, and calm but enthusiastic throughout the interview. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer (this also applies when online), and it’s OK to take a few moments to think before answering the interviewer’s questions. Prepare for your interview. Interview preparations not only include being able to respond, describe, and discuss any questions about the job-related skills and qualifications reflected in your resume, but also involves researching the company. Such research will help you better understand the company’s culture and what knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors the company is seeking. Be prepared to discuss how your own knowledge, skills, and experiences align with the company’s job requirements.
In summary, effective interviewing strategies include projecting self-confidence, staying positive, and concisely communicating and sharing examples of the qualifications that make you the best candidate for the job. Finally, don’t forget to follow-up soon after the interview with a thank-you note to reemphasize your interest in the position. The follow-up note will also provide an opportunity to convey any pertinent information you may have omitted during the interview.

Hello, thank you for the multiple questions. Your first question’s response has also been answered in another tread.
Q1 & response: What do you think are the most important qualities for someone to excel? Let me try and summarise here. Always thinking and acting beyond one's current role, continuously updating your knowledge in your business function and market developments, learning mindset, being kind and thinking of the team and company as a whole instead of competing with others are important. Further, positive attitude, endless curiosity, open mind, being ready to change (often), being resilient and flexible, happy to unlearn, being collaborative and happy to embrace diversity of people and ideas would definitely help you to become a winner. Being not too attached to our own ideas and giving equal chance to others by active listening and collaborating also helps to create more innovation and succeed more.
Q2/3 & response: How to prepare for Care Technical Manager position? What experience is expected? At Nokia, Care Technical manager would be part of Services/Operations and is responsible for customer’s installed base (e.g. Core Nodes like MSS, Packet Core, Media Gateways, Radio network, Network management OSS, BSS, routers, transport) and Annual maintenance contracts and renewals. As a Care Technical manager for a customer, one needs to own the perfect operations of all the network nodes / installed base with 100% responsibility. There should be minimum outages, proper root cause analysis in case of failures, no penalties, regular software upgrades and without downtime etc. Network expansions should be well planned. Customer AMC contract for hardware and software should be renewed profitably and timely. Customer should be happy to see network running smoothly. From soft-skills perspective, one needs to have service mindset, positive attitude, action-oriented, passionate, active listener, able to build trust and good communication skills.
Hope above details help you to prepare well and be successful. Good Luck.

My advice for anyone who is going through the interview stage is to do as much preparation as possible. This means researching the company, reviewing the job description, researching the interviewer(s) on LinkedIn, looking at company reviews, reviewing your resume again so that you are prepared to speak to it should you be asked about a project, for example, thinking of questions you want to ask the interviewer(s) - always have a few questions to ask, look up culture, location ahead of time if you are required to meet them in person or go to the office. Another piece of advice is to be yourself, and honest. If you are unsure of a question and don't know how to answer or need the question to be repeated don't hesitate. Remember this is not only the employer interviewing you but you interviewing whether or not the company or the interviewer will be someone you can work with or see yourself with!

I believe preparation is the key in an interview. Take your time to learn about the company and the job you are applying for. If you need to remember some topics related to the field, do it. Also, remember that one of the most important points in the interview will be your experiences, so don't save words related to your skills and experience. Finally, when researching about the company, make a list of questions that you have about the culture, opportunities for growth, and anything else you might be interested in. Overall, try to be calm and truthful.

Agreed to this statement Mohamed advised. And if you aren't sure of the question or how to answer it, don't be afraid to ask for further clarity regarding it.
