This transition was a rather long path. The engineering discipline helped for sure. Data Science is Computer Skills, Mathematics and Stats, and Domain Knowledge. So the foundation for the transition was always there. We are in a data-driven world and so the ME background helped me leverage those fundamentals and learn and grow in the Data Science space. That space changes rapidly so learning and development never stop.
