Global Health and Wellbeing Program Manager
Hi Pia, thanks for your question!
The health, safety and wellbeing of our people is our number one priority. We are focused on creating a working environment at Nokia where everyone has a good day at work.
We have three pillars in our global wellbeing framework, which all interlock and within which our global wellbeing programs sit.
Thrive: creating a working environment at Nokia where people’s health and wellbeing is not only maintained, but enhanced, and ultimately, everyone having a good day at work. Here our programs focus on promoting good mental health by prioritising prevention and creating a mentally healthy workplace by setting boundaries around how we work and communicate
Manage: managing people in a way that recognises and supports positive wellbeing as being key to performance excellence â here we are looking at good leadership and proactive, positive intervention â where wellbeing is embedded into all aspects of our people management practices, and Line Managers feel equipped and supported to take appropriate action when they spot the signs that someone may be struggling to cope.
Care: providing timely, professional care for every employee â we know that everyone struggles to cope at some point so our global EAP, the Personal Support Service, is available to every employee and their family members, and provides that confidential professional support and guidance on a range of emotional, practical and work-life issues.
A key goal is for mental health and physical health to have the same priority, and to address the stigma that is associated with mental health in the workplace so that everyone feels safe, and supported, talking openly about their mental health at work.
Wellbeing is inherent to our way of working and embedded in our leadership and culture frameworks to influence, inspire and support positive wellbeing at work. Being open, fearless and empowered are cultural essentials for Nokia and as such, we encourage everyone to be open to exploring a more balanced way of doing things, fearless about asking for help if they need it and empowered to make good decisions about their wellbeing.
