What are some of the exciting developments you see happening at Nokia?

One of the coolest fronts has to be IoT, which we're heavily involved in. Once 5G comes along, everything around us has the potential to have a network in it. And Nokia is of course creating the future on that front.

With some startups in residence at Le Garage, we start to see uses cases demonstrating that 5G is a game-changing technology.

It's exciting to experience how at the same time IT is enabling and supporting different areas of Nokia business, as well as modernizing and improving efficiency of our internal Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) landscape.

This is a very interesting question, let me try to answer it in multiple ways. First, our innovation continues to excite me. Across product/solutions, we are world leaders and are implementing the latest technologies like 5G, IP, Business applications, Private Wireless and Industry 4.0 deployments, and Cloud and Fixed networks. Within Cloud and Network Services, we are unifying all Nokia’s OSS, BSS and security software applications under the ‘AVA’ brand. AVA now extends to provide the golden thread of ‘Intelligence Everywhere’ through artificial intelligence, machine learning, no code configuration, open APIs, multi-cloud orchestration, and digital ecosystems. In IP Networks, FP4 was at the cutting edge of 400G interfaces, FP5 is leading the way to 800GE. We are way ahead of our competitors. Our Strategy and Technology leader explained the immense potential of the metaverse as a technology trend that will drive revolutionary transformation across all sectors. He also shared the key trends which influence the evolution and adoption of technologies towards 2030 and the related end-user needs and expectations. As a people-friendly company, our new Nokia People strategy (aimed at putting people at the heart of everything we do) is continuously evolving. It is creating an environment in which employees can continually grow personally and professionally. By enriching, recognizing, and rewarding individual experiences and skills, Nokia will become a company where people not only work but thrive. Our CEO also discussed the importance of physical and mental well being and we just started a company-wide initiative to do sports and be more active. In the Data Literacy space, Nokia continues its company-wide data journey. On Sept 23rd, 2022, Nokia Learning will hold its second Data Literacy Conference with presentations and Q&A with our Chief Data Officer - Fredrik Buckner, our Chief Digital Officer Alan Triggs, and representatives from McKinsey speaking to their vision of the Data-Driven Enterprise of 2025. The first Data Literacy Conference had 5000 attendees and so Nokia is certainly committed to a data-driven future.
