What are some differences between co-ops and full-time roles at Nokia?

Additional information

I'm curious about differences in the process, evaluation criteria, the weight of certain skills, competition, positions available, etc. What do you look for in co-ops that you don't in full-time candidates, and vice versa? Any green or red flags that stand out in either path?

Hi Jeffrey, great to connect with you and great question!

Co‑op roles at Nokia are primarily focused on learning and development. They’re designed to give you hands‑on exposure, practical experience, and the opportunity to learn in a real business environment. These roles are typically fixed‑term. Full‑time roles, on the other hand, are focused on long‑term contribution, ownership, and driving impact within the organization. These positions are permanent and come with broader responsibilities.

As a result, the interview process for co‑op roles is usually more streamlined and focused on your learning potential and motivation. Full‑time roles tend to have a more in‑depth interview process, including a deeper assessment of technical and functional capabilities, as well as behaviour‑based questions.

I hope that helps, and I am always here if you have any further questions!
