Dear Kuzey,
It’s great connecting with you on the Insider — thank you for your thoughtful question. Navigating career paths can be incredibly challenging, and I completely relate. I actually started out as an accountant and graduated with a degree in accounting, but over time I discovered my true passion was in connecting with people, which led me into recruitment.
I’ve also made a shift from management consulting to joining Nokia, and I’ve found the move into the technology and telecom sector to be truly exciting. Tech is constantly evolving and touches every part of our lives — from connectivity to healthcare to education. It’s a space where you’re always learning, adapting, and solving new problems. You mentioned your interest in math and finance — that’s a great foundation. A big part of working in tech is applying analytical thinking to solve complex challenges.
Wishing you all the best as you explore your path — and feel free to reach out anytime!
Warm regards,
Rana
