Hi Asya, thanks for this great question. I think what sets most companies apart from the rest is their people and culture. We are a very diverse company with over 80,000 people with 157 different nationalities. Our purpose is to create the technology that helps the world act together. This purpose can only be fulfilled with our people and culture.
Following are key in our culture: integrity, trust, inclusion as well as our values which we call essentials: open, fearless and empowered. These are the foundational elements of our work culture.
I have been working in the company for approximately 19 years and I must say, flexible working also contributed immensely for me to stay at Nokia. Growth and development opportunities are also endless. Feel free to learn more about us from here Our people | Nokia.com

Hi Asya, Burcu answered very comprehensively but I will add my personal favorite. I repeat this very often in many of my comments but maybe it deserves all this attention. It is definitely the "Nokia family" concept. It is not written as a rule anywhere, it just exists. Basically it means that everyone is friends with each other, our hierarchy is very low, and respect for each other prevails everywhere. That's why our work environment is so unique.

Hi Asya,
Thank you for your question! I see that Burcu and Karoliina have already shared some excellent insights about Nokia's diverse culture and the 'Nokia family' concept. I actually addressed a similar question before How is this company different from your competitors? | Nokia, but I'd like to share a few additional points that I personally find meaningful about Nokia's work environment.
One aspect that truly stands out to me is the scale and impact of our work. At Nokia, we develop products and solutions that are used by millions of people daily. This creates a unique work environment where everyone has a humbling appreciation of the responsibility and impact of their contributions, no matter their role.
Another element that makes Nokia's work environment special is our genuine commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. This isn't just corporate messaging — it's visible in concrete actions. For example, Nokia recently launched an initiative where waste heat from our Espoo campus will be used to warm Finnish homes https://www.nokia.com/blog/how-waste-heat-from-nokias-labs-can-keep-finnish-homes-warm/. But it goes beyond individual projects — sustainability is deeply embedded in our work culture, influencing how we design our products to help our customers reduce their environmental impact through more efficient solutions and better automation.
I hope this adds another dimension to what my colleagues have already shared about working at Nokia!
