While I may not be a technical professional in this field and recommend seeking advice from those who are, to advance your career in the 5G network field, pursuing a Master's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related discipline can be highly beneficial. This advanced education can deepen your understanding of emerging technologies, network design, and system optimization. Additionally, obtaining certifications such as CWNP, 5G Core Network Engineer, or similar credentials can enhance your expertise and make you a more competitive candidate for advanced roles. Complementing your technical skills with knowledge in areas like network security, cloud computing, and IoT can also be advantageous, given their increasing relevance in the 5G ecosystem. Continuous learning through industry conferences, workshops, and online courses will keep you abreast of the latest developments and innovations, further aiding your career growth. Another effective strategy is to leverage your current position and company to advance your professional development. Volunteering for stretch assignments, participating in additional projects, and discussing your career goals with your manager can provide valuable learning opportunities. It's not just about formal education; continuous learning and professional development are key.

Hello Seongjin B.,

It seems like we are on similar career paths, and I would like to share some advice with you. Like you, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and began my career at Nokia as a QA or integration and verification engineer.

I would like to share three pieces of career advice, especially in the 5G network field. Firstly, you could aim to become a technical leader or subject matter expert. This involves developing expertise in the field, leading the design and strategy of tests, and potentially moving into test automation or improving testing processes.

Secondly, you could also consider becoming a specification engineer. This role builds the requirements, jumping to the other side of the boat, from testing the requirement to authoring the requirement.

Lastly, you could explore the path towards management, either in product management or people management. However, both of these options require skills beyond just technical expertise.

As Linda mentioned, continuous learning is crucial in this field. Many technologies are still being developed, so staying up-to-date with the latest advancements is essential.
